Sewing is Self-Assertion
For a long time, I tried to blend in, not to make waves. But to live is to dare to be yourself.
For 19 years, I was a teacher for students with difficulties. My role? To show them that they were capable, that they had potential, even when they doubted it. Today, I do the same thing… but with thread and needles.
I am self-taught. I learned to sew by myself, out of passion and a desire to create. Like many, I doubted, I made mistakes, I started over. But I understood one essential thing: you don't need to be perfect to start, you just need to dare.
I created La Robe du Chat to help women gain confidence through sewing. Because every sewn garment is much more than just a piece of fabric: it's a victory, an affirmation, a moment when you prove to yourself that you are capable.
My patterns are designed so that sewing remains a pleasure, a space of freedom where you can create without pressure. No need to be an expert, no need to be perfect. Just a desire to do good for yourself.

Why The Cat's Robe
A cat's coat is the color of its fur. There is another word for this coat: it is called a "pattern". And yes, a pattern is a word used to describe a sewing pattern and a cat's coat (and also the boss :). Since both cats and sewing are a part of my life, I found this little play on words to be perfect for naming my business.
