Level

Chabada is for beginner-intermediate sewers: sewing the neckline requires a little precision. However, it can also be for beginner sewers who have already sewn a garment, as it does not contain any major difficulties.

By sewing Chabada, you will be able to:

• Make pleats,
• Use the "burrito" method,
• Sew a button placket,
• Sew elastic into the seam allowance (dress version),
• Sew pockets (dress version),
• Sew and assemble sleeves,
• Insert elastic into a casing (long puff sleeves),
• Sew buttons,
• Sew buttonholes (optional)

Supplies

Fabric choice: Depending on the season and the chosen model, you can use viscose, poplin, cotton, crepe, tencel, linen, twill, fine velvet…

A light and colorful print will be perfect for a little summer dress or a flowing and casual long dress. Autumn colors or a plain fabric will make it a key piece of your autumn-winter wardrobe.

Supplies (fabric width 140 cm):

-Fabric meterage required (width 140 cm):

-Buttons: 7 for the blouse, 8 for the short dress and 10 for the midi and long dresses.

-Iron-on interfacing.

-Elastic for dresses only (6 mm elastic braid type): between 100 cm and 140 cm depending on the size (more details in the booklet).
