CHARLIE, BASIC PATTERN (without options):

Charlie is THE timeless little blouse to have in your wardrobe. A blouse, dress or top for summer, Charlie will follow you everywhere.

Charlie is a blouse or dress created in a shirt spirit with a pretty neckline. The 3 buttons, the box pleat at the back and its rounded finish give it femininity and softness. Its clean look makes it a must-have piece in your wardrobe.

On the sewing side you will learn the famous “burrito” technique as well as how to attach a button placket. And if you're not a big fan of buttonholes, Charlie's neckline is quite wide so you can make fake buttonholes 😊

A4 and US Letter patterns have layers by size (you only print the useful sizes)

The sheets are frameless to cut: print and assemble your sheets edge to edge.

On the A4, A0 and US Letter patterns the lines of the different sizes are identified by lines of different shapes and colors. You can therefore choose to print your pattern in color or in black and white.

Level

Intermediate, the technical points are sewing the darts and fitting the button placket.

Choice of fabric: Choose a warp and weft fabric: viscose, poplin, cotton, tencel, twill, etc.

Supplies :

• Fabric yardage required (width 140 cm):

Top (with or without collar) from 34 to 46: 1m

Dress (with or without collar) size 34 or 44: 1.30 m (without pockets), 1.50 m (with pockets)

Dress (with or without collar) in 46: 1m 90 (with or without pockets)

• Bias bias (2 cm): top hem 1m 40, dress hem: 1m 60, armholes: 1m 10 (55 cm per armhole). That is 2m 50 for the top and 2m 70 for the dress.

• 3 buttons (10 – 12 mm)

• Iron-on interfacing for the collar lining.
