The CHANTAL cargo pants and shorts pattern
The Chantal pants are cargo pants with patch pockets. It has two finishes: straight legs or tightened at the ankle. You can choose to sew it with or without pockets depending on the style you want. Its elasticated waist makes it an easy piece to sew and above all ultra-comfortable to wear! You can also sew a short version and add a tied belt.
Pattern for size 34 to 52, available in pdf and/or pocket.
The pattern is designed with clear and detailed instructions to guide you throughout your project. Find the video tutorial in the “Video tutorial” section.
Immediately after placing your order you will receive a link to download your pattern (this link will also be present in the confirmation email that you will receive after ordering as well as in your customer account).
Download your pattern, you will have a .zip file including:
- a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 52) to print and assemble in A4 format;
- a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 52) to print and assemble in A0 format;
- a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 52) to print and assemble in US Letter format;
- an illustrated assembly guide to assist you;
The A4 and US Letter patterns have layers by size (you only print the sizes you need).
The sheets are frameless to cut: print and assemble your sheets edge to edge.
Pouch
A few days after placing your order, you will receive your pouch in your mailbox.
The pouch contains:
- 1 A0 board with the pattern from size 34 to size 52 (without overlapping pieces),
- the assembly booklet containing explanations and illustrations to help you sew your garment,
- an A5 size storage pouch.
The pattern is printed in black and white with the lines of the different sizes represented by different lines (dotted lines, dashes, etc.).
The assembly booklet is printed in color, it contains photos as well as diagrams illustrating the assembly of the garment.
Delivery of the pouches:
Shipping to a relay point: the choice of relay point is made after validation of the order.

Level
Our pattern is designed with clear and detailed instructions, suitable for beginner level seamstresses.
The Chantal pattern is aimed at intermediate-level seamstresses. These pants/shorts are quite easy to sew because they close with an elastic band. - Add 20 cm of fabric for the tied belt.

Elastic 3 to 4 cm wide:
- for the size: 30 to 50 cm depending on your size (allow approximately 1/2 waist circumference to be cut when placing it).
- for tight ankles: 45 to 55 cm depending on your ankle circumference (=(ankle circumference + 3 cm) x 2 (because 2 ankles)).
- 4 buttons (optional) for the side pocket version.
- A strip of iron-on interfacing approximately 60cm x 10cm

Easy-to-use patterns
Perfectly locate the pattern pieces , placed next to each other, they do not overlap.
Cut your fabric following the outlines of the pattern, you do not have to add seam allowances because they are included. For your information: the margins are 1 cm and the hems are 2 cm. For technical reasons, these measurements may vary, but in this case I warn you 😊
