The CHAVIRE women’s blouse and dress pattern

The one that will make your heart skip a beat. Chavire is a dress or blouse that has lots of surprises in store for you 😊 It has a high waist, slightly marked, but not close to the body. Which makes it easy to sew (no closure to attach) and to wear. The skirt is made up of two basques, the first, slightly flared, for the blouse version. The second, more flared, for a dress that twirls.

Chavire offers multiple versions:

Its bust: with ruffles or without ruffles. Its back: closed with a strap and a button or bare crossed back.

Its sleeves: sleeveless/cap sleeves/short sleeves/long sleeves.

Cap sleeves go very well with sleeves (short or long).

Its length: blouse or dress version

On the first page, the technical drawings show you some possible associations, but they are not all there. I didn't count, but that's quite a few possible versions 😊

Pattern for size 34 to 46, available in pdf and/or pocket.

To make sewing easier:

-All pdf patterns have layers by size and do not have a frame to cut out.

-Seam allowances are included.

-No overlapping of parts.

Download your pattern, you will have a .zip file including:

• a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 46) to print and assemble in A4 format;
• a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 46) to print and assemble in A0 format;
• a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 46) to print and assemble in US Letter format;
• an illustrated assembly guide to assist you;

A4 and US Letter patterns have layers by size (you only print the useful sizes)

The sheets are frameless to cut: print and assemble your sheets edge to edge.

On the A4, A0 and US Letter patterns the lines of the different sizes are identified by lines of different shapes and colors. You can therefore choose to print your pattern in color or in black and white.

Pouch

A few days after placing your order, you will receive your pouch in your mailbox.

The pouch contains:

• 2 A0 boards with the pattern from size 34 to size 46 (without overlapping pieces),
• the assembly booklet containing explanations and illustrations to help you sew your garment,
• an A5 size storage pouch.

The pattern is printed in black and white with the lines of the different sizes represented by different lines (dotted lines, dashes, etc.).

The assembly booklet is printed in color, it contains photos as well as diagrams illustrating the assembly of the garment.

Delivery of the pouches:

Shipping to a relay point: the choice of relay point is made after validation of the order.

Level

At a beginner-intermediate level, the technical points are the sewing of the darts, the gathers (on the cap sleeves and ruffles) and the box pleat (on the sleeves). However, it can also be aimed at beginner seamstresses who have already sewn a garment because it does not contain any major difficulties, especially versions without sleeves or ruffles.

Supplies

Choice of fabric: You can use viscose, poplin, cotton, tencel, twill, fine velvet, fine jacquard, etc.

The result may be different depending on the fluidity of the fabric: a fabric with hold (cotton, fine jacquard, fine velvet, etc.) will give more support to the bare back and will more clearly mark the box pleats of the sleeves, the result will be more structured, and the ruffles will have more hold; on the other hand, a softer fabric (like viscose) will have a more fluid overall effect, notably with “lighter” ruffles.
