Lilas is the ideal summer dress pattern for creating a light dress or top, perfect for sunny days. With its American armholes and delicate tie-neck bow, Lilas subtly highlights the shoulders. The elegant pleats on the front and back add a touch of refinement to this easy-to-wear piece.
Whether you choose the dress or top version, Lilas is designed to offer comfort and femininity, while remaining simple to sew and customize to your liking.
Sewing level
Lilas is aimed at beginner-intermediate sewers. It is a fairly quick pattern to sew and does not have too many technical points. It just requires a little precision in making the pleats and applying the bias binding.
By sewing Lilas, you will be able to:
- Make pleats,
- Assemble facings,
- Apply bias binding,
- Sew and assemble ties.
Supplies
Fabric choice: You can use viscose, poplin, cotton, tencel, twill, crepe… choose a fabric that holds pleats well!
Supplies (fabric width 140 cm):
-Top: 110 cm for sizes 34 to 38,
120 cm for sizes 40 to 46.
-Dress: 140 cm for sizes 34 to 38,
190 cm for sizes 40 to 46.
Interfacing for facings.

Seam allowance included
Cut your fabric following the pattern outlines. You do not need to add any seam allowance as it is already included. For your information: seam allowances are 1 cm and hems are 2 cm. For technical reasons, these measurements may vary, but in that case, I will let you know 😊
No overlapping parts
Perfectly mark out the pattern pieces; placed next to each other, they do not overlap.
