Level

An intermediate level for the classic waistband version, the pleated waistband version is an advanced level, but with a little practice and on a fabric that does not "shift" you can give it a try!

By sewing Chaplin, you will be able to:

• Sew darts,
• Sew Italian pockets,
• Sew a waistband,
• Make pleats,
• Install an invisible zipper,
• Sew buttonholes and buttons (version with suspenders).

Supplies

Fabric choice: A heavy fabric such as gabardine, denim or even a fine wool, suede, velvet or jacquard for winter trousers/shorts. Or a lighter fabric such as chambray, viscose, twill or crepe, for mid-season or summer.

You can also use a fabric with elasticity that will give you more comfort at the waistband.

Supplies (140 cm wide fabric):

-22 cm invisible zipper.

-Iron-on interfacing.
