Sewing Level
Our pattern is designed with clear and detailed instructions, suitable for intermediate sewers.
By sewing Chaton, you will be able to:
- Sew pockets into the seam,
- Sew and assemble a collar,
- Sew and assemble belt loops (optional),
- Sew and assemble a full lining,
- Assemble "flat" sleeves,
- Sew a button placket.
The main technical point is the installation of the lining. This step can be a bit intimidating, but don't worry, the step-by-step instructions and assembly diagrams will guide you through each stage (along with a video tutorial). You'll be proud to have sewn your fully lined jacket!

- Fabric
Short version:
34-36: 150 cm main fabric and 120 cm lining.
38-46: 165 cm main fabric and 120 cm lining.
48-52: 200 cm main fabric and 125 cm lining.
Long version with belt:
34-36: 205 cm main fabric and 160 cm lining.
38-46: 230 cm main fabric and 160 cm lining.
48-52: 265 cm main fabric and 165 cm lining
- Buttons 20 to 30 mm: 4 for the short jacket, 6 for the long jacket. Depending on your fabric, choose no-sew snaps (practical for thick fabrics).
- Iron-on interfacing.
- Double-sided iron-on adhesive.

Cut your fabric following the pattern outlines. You do not need to add any seam allowance as it is already included. For your information: seam allowances are 1 cm and hems are 2 cm. For technical reasons, these measurements may vary, but in that case, I will let you know 😊

Perfectly mark out the pattern pieces; placed next to each other, they do not overlap.
