The CHATAIGNE women’s blouse and dress pattern

The Châtaigne women's sewing pattern is a blouse or dress with gathers and puffed sleeves. Its rounded bib front and its slight bare back (at the back 😊) give it a very feminine side. Chestnut can be sewn with long or short sleeves. The back fastening is done with a strap and a button. For the dress version, pockets are provided in the side seams.

Pattern for size 34 to 46, available in pdf and/or pocket.

To make sewing easier:

-All pdf patterns have layers by size and do not have a frame to cut out.

-Seam allowances are included.

-No overlapping of parts.

Immediately after placing your order you will receive a link to download your pattern (this link will also be present on the confirmation email you will receive after ordering).

Download your pattern, you will have a .zip file including:

• a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 46) to print and assemble in A4 format;
• a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 46) to print and assemble in A0 format;
• a pdf file of the multi-size pattern (from 34 to 46) to print and assemble in US Letter format;
• an illustrated assembly guide to assist you;

A4 and US Letter patterns have layers by size (you only print the useful sizes)

The sheets are frameless to cut: print and assemble your sheets edge to edge.

On the A4, A0 and US Letter patterns the lines of the different sizes are identified by lines of different shapes and colors. You can therefore choose to print your pattern in color or in black and white.

Pouch

A few days after placing your order, you will receive your pouch in your mailbox.

The pouch contains:

• 1 A0 board with the pattern from size 34 to size 46 (without overlapping pieces),
• the assembly booklet containing explanations and illustrations to help you sew your garment,
• an A5 size storage pouch.

The pattern is printed in black and white with the lines of the different sizes represented by different lines (dotted lines, dashes, etc.).

The assembly booklet is printed in color, it contains photos as well as diagrams illustrating the assembly of the garment.

Delivery of the pouches:

Shipping to a relay point: the choice of relay point is made after validation of the order.

At home: Colissimo

Level

Accessible to beginners who have already sewn a garment. The technical points are the creation of the gathers, the creation and insertion of the strap.

Supplies

Choice of fabric: To sew the Châtaigne blouse, choose a warp and weft fabric: viscose, cotton cambric, poplin, tencel, chambray, plumetis, crepe... A flowing fabric will highlight the gathers well.

Chestnut can also be sewn into a light sweatshirt, the seam will require some adjustments. You will find all the advice in the blog article “sew yourself a Chestnut sweatshirt”

Supplies (fabric width 140cm):

-Blouse: up to 170cm depending on models and sizes (more details in the booklet).

-Dress: up to 235cm depending on models and sizes (more details in the booklet).

-A button.
