HIBISCUS - Easy Women's Jacket Pattern and Tutorial, Sizes 34 to 46, Paper and PDF.

Embrace Hibiscus, the versatile jacket that adapts to your every desire. With its three elegant versions, this pattern allows you to create a made-to-measure garment, from chic everyday wear to an elegant winter coat.

The advantages of Hibiscus:

  • Three necklines to choose from: A rounded neckline for a casual style, a notched lapel for a sophisticated look, or a shawl collar for extra warmth in winter.
  • Complete customization: Short or long length, optional belt to define the silhouette, and practical pockets for added comfort.
  • Ease of sewing: Unlined, Hibiscus is quick to sew, even for beginners, with a simple version for every level.

Available in sizes 34 to 46 in PDF or paper format, Hibiscus is the ideal pattern for creating an elegant and practical jacket, suitable for every season of the year.

Sewing level

Beginner-intermediate level, the level varies according to the model: version A is the most accessible, version B is the one that requires the most precision. Different versions that allow you to challenge yourself!

By sewing Hibiscus, you will be able to:

  • Sew darts,
  • Sew and assemble sleeves,
  • Sew patch pockets (short version),
  • Sew an original "notched lapel" (notched lapel version),
  • Sew and attach belt loops (optional),
  • Sew a belt (optional).

Supplies

Fabric choice: Depending on the versions, you can choose different fabrics! A more or less thick quilted jersey or a quilted double gauze for versions A and C. A jacquard will work very well with all 3 versions! For the extended version C, do not hesitate to choose a heavier fabric, such as wool, for example, to make a warm jacket.

Note 1: For version B, you can play with the color of the facing, which is visible at the turned-up collar. In this case, provide the necessary fabric quantity.

Note 2: For version B, it is important to have a fabric that holds creases well (for the collar fold).

Supplies (fabric width 140 cm):

-Short version: 160 cm of fabric including facing.

-Long version: 180 cm of fabric including facing.

-Add 40 cm for the belt.
